Major Endorsemet by respected community leader.
Fall is in the air and the election campaigning is now is high gear. This past week there was a very significant event, we picked up the endorsement of Frank Del Vecchio; and I quote:
"Frank has really come through for residents. He is what Boston pols used to call a "stand up guy". Frank has continually appeared at hearings on behalf of residents. He did so yesterday, right into the teeth of the hotel and entertainment lobby. He stood up and testified to the planning board, and he had totally synthesized the issues and was forceful and convincing in his argument. Even though I had heard him speak out on Sunset Harbor issues, to me this was his finest moment. It gave me great confidence in him not only as someone who has irrevocably committed himself to residential issues, but as a candidate who I am convinced will be able to serve forcefully and effectively on the commission dais, willing and able to take on special interest commissioners."
Frank Del Vecchio
It is truly an honor and a privilege to have to add his name to our growing list of supporters.

Sunset Harbour Event
This past Wednesday many of our friends and neighborhoods hosted a cocktail reception at the 1900 building.
Larry Shantz and many other leaders of the Sunset Harbour Community served as host for the event. It was a great opportunity to hear from the residents about their concerns for the future of Miami Beach.

I want to thank Dave Patlick and Sam Feldman for the allowing me to introduce myself to the members.
SUNPOST Meet Up
The SUNPOST held a meet the candidates social event at 8.5 on Washington Ave last evening. It was a great chance to meet many folks at the SUNPOST.
I was very happy to finally meet Andrew Stark and many others from the SUNPOST. I had to run off to another event but I enjoyed the social interaction with the SUNPOST Team.
I was very delighted to meet Jamie Kaufman with whom I have had many phone/email conversations since starting my real estate business here in Miami Beach.
Breakfast Club Apperaance
Yesterday I had the honor of speaking to the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club. The audience was cordial and their usual hard questioning selves.
I had a great deal of fun engaging with some of the cities most involved citizens. We addressed many wide ranging issues, from police services, taxes and housing .
I wish to thank David Kelsey for inviting me to speak and know I will be back again as we move towards November.

WOW Wednesday!
In the past week I have had the opportunity to attend several very special events.
On Wednesday I attended the a political round table luncheon at Bongos Cafe, the event sponsored by the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
The panel included State Representative Dan Galber; Mayor Kevin Burns of North Miami, Commissioner Michael Gongora of Miami Beach and State Attorney Katherin Fernadez-Rundel. The panel discussed the various issues that confront the greater Miami-Dade region. Also in attendance Miami Beach Commissioners Jerry Libbin and Matti Bower.
Next on the schedule Wednesday a SAVE Guardian Dinner hosted by Mellon Bank. The location overlooked downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay; the event was a tribute to the Guardians and other major donors to SAVE.
Then it was off to the opening gala for the Winter Party at the Surfcomber Hotel. The Winter Party kick off was a very fun event and I ran into Miami-Beach Commissioner Michael Gongora yet again that day.

Today We Begin Our Journey
When I filed to run for Miami Beach City Commission in last December it was with a great deal of pride and excitement.
Since filing the level of community support and encouragement has been a very humbling and at the same time uplifting; people from all walks of life have step forward with expressions of support.
